Born in Bremen, Germany and raised in BerlinHelga P. a.k.a Dj Zone a.k.a Andreas Pinheiro started to spin records in the mid-nineties. Influenced Trash and Speed Metal as well as the Rave and Hardcore Techno scene his sound first was dedicated to the darker side of Drum and Bass and Breakbeat. Together with some friends he startet to organize events and founded the Brainstormaz-Crew Bremen in 1997. After realisation of some successful events in Bremen the reputation of the Brainstormaz-Crew grew fast which led to nation wide bookings. In the meanwhile he expanded his style to Happy Hardcore and Happy Breaks.The efforts made so far payed back: From 2000 – 2002 he was resident at Bremen based Drum and Bass and Breakbeat Club Piranha/MoHouse and the club events organised by Lifeline Promotions.
Pissed off by the homophobic attitude widely spread in the Drum and Bass scene and politically motivated he became a member of Team Orange and reboot e.v. in 2003. Organisations with the target to promote and encourage the development of uncommercial club culture and arts. Inspired by lived solidarity and voluntary work this time should mark a turning point in his musically progress. He changed his name from Dj Zone to Helga P. and his style to House, Techno and Electro. As many artists, musicians and dj´s he decided to move to Berlin in 2005 which turns out to be the right decision. For his great variety in sound as well as his strong appearance Helga P. soon became a well known personality in the queer scene. Besides a residency at one of the most famous and oldest gay clubs of Berlin (SchwuZ) he is questioned to push the party people on all dance floors of the queer-alternative scene. SABOTAGE, POOPSY CLUB, NEON RAIDERS, GOLD LION, SUBOPTIMAL and BACKSTAGE DIARIES (Cologne) are just some of the fancied parties he is playing at in regular distances. Depending on the mood of the audience and the concept of the party his sound varies from housy and filled up with vocal samples to very deep, dark or even strong distorted and fast sounds. Be prepared, you never know… But not only in the queer scene he is rockin´ the dance floors with his catchy sounds. In legendary Techno clubs like Tresor and Golden Gate he also makes the crowd bounce to his beats.
